Grey Knight Dreadnought
Hallowed Brother Decani
Dreadnought Close Combat Weapon: I found the standard DCCW arm a bit lame and wanted something a bit more awe-inspiring, especially for a Grey Knight Dreadnought with superior weapon skill. Inspired by the Space Wolf Venerable Dreadnought with its clawed hand, I sculpted some flat rectangular pieces of metal sprue into blades with a shape reminiscent of Grey Knight halberds. These were mounted into the fingers of the DCCW, and the result was rather pleasing - it certainly looks more fearsome.
Head: I had bought a blister of Dire Wolves to convert into familiars for my Inquisitor, and had surplus heads, so I decided to add some height to the dreadnought by mounting it on a neck of greenstuff and shaped plastic sprue.
Banner: I made this banner in the same manner as the one for Brother-Captain Benedict, only with thicker pieces of brass rod, and I added greenstuff and a spare Grey Knight Terminator shield to the crossbar joint.
Tabard: This is plasticard (like the banners) with eyelets drilled in the top corners; thin wire is threaded through and glued into holes drilled into the hips.
Embellishments: Though it can't be seen from this angle, there's a scroll from the Empire Steam Tank on the side of the lascannon arm. Another GK Terminator shield is mounted on the right upper chest, and there are several purity seals dotted around the place.
Other Weapons: I left the arms detachable so the DCCW can be swapped for a missile launcher, or the lascannon for an assault cannon. For the Dreadnought's first 5th edition tournament I gave him a custom-built plasma cannon. I may try and upload a picture of that at some point.
