Grand Master
Lord Seraphim, Grand Master of the Order of the Triune Crusade.
Psycannon: Upgrading his gun was a simple matter of substituting his storm bolter arm with a Grey Knight Terminator Psycannon arm. I added a cross-shaped bit to the casing for embellishment (I can't remember how I got it, I only know I have several in my bitz box).
Helmet: I'm not a fan of unhelmeted warriors, aesthetically or practically, so I removed the bare head (which was a bit of a task and required a lot of drilling, clipping and filing) and replaced it with the "Iron Warriors Head 4" bit which I filed and adorned with the wreath from the 4e Space Marine Terminator sprue.
Sword: I decided the sword looked a bit plain, so I filed the blade to give it a better edge and carefully carved a groove down the length of the blade on both sides...this unfortunately makes the blade weaker but as long as you're careful I think the effect is worth it.
Wings: I wanted my Grand Master to have an imposing, angelic bearing so I added wings from an Eldar Swooping Hawk (filed to make them smoother and less blatantly of Eldar origin).
Base: A centerpiece model needs a fancy base, so I dedcided to style mine after the dreadnought base. I made it out of plasticard and greenstuff, and judging from comments I have received I think I achieved the effect I was going for.
